Finalist ASEAN Data Science Explorers 2025

Becoming a finalist in the ASEAN Data Science Explorers (ASEANDSE) 2025 has been one of the most unforgettable moments in my journey as a data enthusiast. Representing my country on this stage felt surreal. It was a mix of excitement, pressure, and growth like no other.

ASEANDSE is not just about analyzing datasets. It is about understanding real-world issues in the ASEAN region, finding meaningful insights, and turning them into actionable solutions that could make a difference. That challenge pushed me beyond technical skills, forcing me to dive deep into problem-solving, teamwork, and most importantly, impactful storytelling.

From brainstorming project ideas, cleaning and analyzing data, to building a compelling narrative for the presentation, it was a rollercoaster of late nights, countless revisions, and moments of self-doubt. But standing there as a finalist made all the struggles worth it. The toughest part was not just the analysis, but learning how to communicate it clearly and persuasively to the judges and audience. Data, after all, only matters if it tells a story people can connect with.

Even though I did not win, being a finalist in a competition this big has become one of the happiest things that has ever happened in my life and I am very grateful for it.

Looking back, this experience reminded me that competitions are never just about the recognition. They are about the process, the resilience, the learning curve, and the amazing people you meet along the way. Being an ASEANDSE 2025 finalist is something I will always carry with pride, but more importantly, it is a milestone that pushes me to keep growing and striving for more.
